My passion for bear hunting and baiting began in 1987 alongside my Dad and Gary Lane. Over the next 12 years, I had the privilege of helping family and friends learn the art of bear baiting and hunting, sharing the knowledge and traditions that had been passed down to me.When I started my own family, I stepped away from bear hunting to focus on raising our daughters. As they grew older and developed a passion for the outdoors and bear hunting, I knew it was time to return to the woods with them.

For the past 10 years, I have dedicated myself to pursuing my next Pope and Young black bear while passing on my love and respect for the sport to my girls. During the last five years, I was fortunate enough to harvest several exceptional bears, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Around that same time, with the encouragement and partnership of my good friend Tony Dorn, I began the next chapter of my hunting journey—bear baiting and guiding. Through 4-T Outfitters and Kingpin Bear Baiting and Scents, we have worked hard to provide quality bait sites and memorable hunting experiences for fellow hunters.

In June 2026, Tony and I took another exciting step by founding T & T Bear Baiting Distribution. Our goal is to provide high-quality bear bait and dependable service to hunters and guides while continuing to promote ethical hunting, conservation, and the traditions that have shaped our lives. From my first days in the woods with my dad to helping others create their own hunting memories, bear hunting has always been more than a hobby—it’s a lifelong passion and a way of life.
